SPU 2016-2017 Academic Year Award Ceremony of Advanced Student Collectives and Individuals Held

On December 19th, “Shenyang Pharmaceutical University 2016-2017 Academic Year Award Ceremony of Advanced Student Collectives and Individuals” was held in the Students Activity Center on South Campus. Hou Yanlin, deputy secretary of CPC Committee, Wang Yanfeng, director of Party and Government Affairs Division, Shen Wei, director of Publicity and United Front Work Division, An Ping, director of Students’ Affairs Division, Luo Ying, director of Admission and Employment Division, Wu Enhua, Secretary ofYouth League Committee, party secretaries and deputy secretaries of each faculty, winning students and all counselors attended the ceremony.

The commendation ceremony began in the solemn national anthem. An Ping, director of Students’ Affairs Division, read out the "Award Decision of Advanced Stduent Collectives and Individuals in 2016-2017 Academic Year" and the "Award Decision of State (Government) Scholarship and State Inspirational Scholarship for 2016-2017 Academic Year of Shenyang Pharmaceutical University"; and commended the Wining Teams of Learning, All-around Classes, All-around Student Pacesetters, Excellent Student Leader Pacesetters, Outstanding Student Leaders, Top Ten Learning Models, Top Ten Foreign Language Champions, Top Ten Excellent Students, Inspirational Excellent Students, Work-study Advanced Individuals, National Scholarship Winners, Provincial Government Scholarship Winners and National Inspirational Scholarship Winners. Shen Tianyao, Han Nuan and Li Jinghan made speeches on behalf of winning collectives, advanced individuals and scholarship winners respectively.

Hou Yanlin, deputy secretary of CPC Committee, made a speech at the commendation ceremony on behalf of the school party committee to extended warm congratulations to all award winners, and extended cordial greetings to all the student leader in the forefront of the work, and to all the teachers who silently dedicated in teaching, educating, serving students. Hou Yanlin summed up the work of the past year, the ideological and political education of college students had persevered and implemented the spirit of national and provincial ideological and political education conference and fundamental mission of rearing people; all student leaders adhered to the concept of serving for student growth and development which based on the actual school reality, focused on development; they made an important contribution and achieved a series of achievements in promoting the healthy growth of college students, maintaining the harmonious campus and society. Hou Yanlin put forward three hopes for all students: first, to hold belief firmly, pursue ideals, be broad-minded, ambitious college students; second, to focus on discipline and behaviors, be healthy and courtesy students; third, to learn and think diligently, be apt at thinking and application. Hou encouraged young students to learn from role models, find out the gaps to catch up and improve overall quality so as to meet new competition and challenges.

The commendation ceremony was an important measure taken by the school to strengthen ideological and political work and an exhibition of fruitful results of school education. The commendation ceremony was not only a summary meeting, advanced commendation meeting, but also a mobilizing meeting to promote students' work to keep pace with the times, reform and innovate, develop scientifically, as well as to promote the all-round development and healthy growth of young college students.
